21st September 2023Position: Content, Social & Events Executive
Role at Unique Magazines: As Content, Social & Events Executive at Unique Magazines, I’m responsible for building our brand presence and championing print culture through content, social media, studio output, and live events. My role focuses on how Unique Magazines shows up publicly — from video and podcast production to in-store talks, creative collaborations, and community storytelling.
I lead our social media channels and develop original content that reflects our passion for independent publishing, creativity, and print-led culture. Whether I’m behind the camera, on it, or working with guest speakers and collaborators in the studio, my aim is to create engaging, authoritative content that strengthens our community and positions Unique Magazines as a trusted voice in the world of magazines.
Events and studio activity are also central to my role. From planning and delivering talks and launches to capturing meaningful moments for post-event storytelling, I focus on turning every experience into lasting brand impact.
Ultimately, my goal is to ensure Unique Magazines feels vibrant, culturally relevant, and confidently visible — building long-term audience engagement and creative authority.

Favourite Magazines/Genres: My journey with magazines started early, inspired by my mother’s fondness for ‘Take a Break‘ magazine. Over time, my magazine preferences have evolved to reflect my aspirations.‘Advanture’ fuels my dream of someday owning a campervan, while independent publications like ‘Sidetracked’ and ‘Lohi’ provide captivating insights into the world of travel. Additionally, the classic surf magazine ‘Carve’ remains a favourite, especially meaningful as I live near a surfing town, keeping my fascination with surfing vibrant

Hobbies and Interests: Outside of work, I immerse myself in various practices. This includes writing, journaling, reading, photography and going to the gym – all aimed at personal growth and self-development. My love for nature often takes me hiking or camping on weekends. Travelling is another passion of mine, with my biggest adventure being a working holiday visa in Australia.

I cherish the time spent with family and friends, prioritizing these connections in my life. My days off are often filled with simple pleasures, such as coffee dates, exploring coastal markets, or enjoying long walks with friends. I also savour the occasional night out on the town, embracing my extroverted side.
