Position: Distribution & Retail Manager
Role at Unique Magazines: : As Distribution & Retail Manager at Unique Magazines, I lead the day-to-day operations across both our warehouse and shop floor, ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes and on the front line. I oversee the full distribution process — from booking in deliveries and dispatching customer orders to managing returns and maintaining stock accuracy — making sure magazines arrive on time and in perfect condition.
Alongside this, I’m responsible for the organisation and presentation of our retail space. From stock levels and availability to layout and visual standards, I ensure the store remains well organised, welcoming, and easy to navigate, helping customers discover something new every time they visit.
Working closely with the team, I focus on improving systems, reducing recurring issues, and keeping workflows efficient so that both our customers and colleagues have a seamless experience. My aim is to ensure that the operational side of Unique runs reliably and confidently, supporting the growth and energy of the business every day.
Favourite Magazines/Genres: My fascination with automobiles started early, thumbing through my Dad’s copies of Auto Trader. This childhood curiosity blossomed into a lifelong passion, making Auto Express and Performance VW some of my all-time favourite reads. But my interests aren’t limited to just cars; I’m also an avid cook. I enjoy exploring new recipes and culinary techniques, which makes magazines like Good Food a must-read for me. They provide a constant source of inspiration for my kitchen adventures.
Hobbies and Interests: Outside of work, I cherish traveling and quality time with my family. I’m a huge Disney enthusiast, so cosying up for a movie night with a Disney classic is my idea of a perfect evening. Additionally, I love exploring new places, dining out, and taking long walks with my dog. These activities not only help me relax but also give me the opportunity to create lasting memories with my loved ones.
